My Message - I am a born again Christian from a  Marthomite family currently attending IPC congregation. I am ashamed &
surprised to watch  the news of a rally which is going to take place by December organised by some Pentecostal 'Leaders'.  The main leader Mr. K.C  John says that this is to show the Government (especially LDF) that we the 'Kurishin Padayalikal' are a not a week force but strong enough to decide the future of politics in the Kerala and to bring the Government to thier tune in order to have a good life in Kerala.

Does God need any political favour from any political leaders or any political alliance for the safety and well-being (spiritual) of His people?

Recently I heard the Marthomite congregation invited Mr.LK Advani to one of their special functions held in Kerala. I hope the next function will be by IPC or any of the Pentecostal churches attended and blessed by Mr.Narendra Modi just like Mr. Chennithala/PJ
Kurian (Suryanelly fame) attendining the Kumbanad convention and saying 'Praise the Lord' with a 'heartfelt' smile. The poor Kunjadukal (the little flocks) are their to say a big Halleluiah in  response.  Its high time to free the People of God from such leaders who just put
on the 'dress of Bhakthi' but do not have the power of it. They are concerned only about the life when they are in the body on this earth.

May God Help Us.

My Message - it is a well said and timely comment , br s.samuel.God

you .
there are lot of theologians who are not exercising there intellect by
 the
help of holy spirit.many of them have lot of quotations, but no radical
view or assessment of events or wrong teachings.almost all of them are
took it as a  means of livelihood.for them it is only a  vocation ,not
 an
avocation.when such decorated persons face a practical spiritual issue
they are embarrassed and baffled.
knowledge about war and practical war is totally different.it will be
unfair to say that most of the humble servants of the lord, ordinary
pastors are far more powerful in the effective interactoin in such
situations.they are like anything in a very safe pulpit.but darting
 like
dastards in real situations.they are nonproductive encumbrance for the
church.may god fill the malayalam church with apellos.stephanose and

the spiritual strong holds should be attacked ,refuted and uprooted

ever possible.may God strengthen br.Tkrishnankutty.

My Message - I read the article of Sabu Samuel on the Catholic v/s communist govt. Even though present conflic is not on any "viswasa pramanam", between lines you can read a dangerous posture of CPM. Even though so many examples in front of us, there are communists in pentecost communities, the leadership also support such to counter the threat from communalists like RSS and BJP, ,,, One thing everybody should realise that if you keep the snake in your lap, it will surely hurt you.

My Message - Really i am very happy to know about the new plan of IPC. But I am feeling this is a part of business. I don't know you are remembering or not, in the same aim some of our brothers started school in Kerala, you know now they need thousands of money as a donation for the admission. Now for the nursing college, can make sure they are giving free admission for the believers?  Some times i am feeling very dirty politics in churches. Please think my leaders, the believers are not foolish, you can't cheat them always, they are understanding all your dirty politics, but we are forgetting in the name of Jesus.

Unite or divide further?

Recently I read in the GM news about the desire of IPC leaders to help UK based Indian churches. I am responding to that news.

I am a member of the Indian Pentecostal Church in India. By the grace of God, and as directed by the Lord, for the past five years, I have been leading a financially self supporting Indian Christian Congregation in England, which is for administrative purpose affiliated to an English congregation. This English church does not interfere in our freedom of worship; they only help us with their prayer support, buildings, resources etc totally free of charge. I found the English churches in this country to be very supportive to our work in England. They welcome us wholeheartedly to their church and are willing to give us every spiritual support. Though the English church is willing to help us financially, we have not claimed any money till date, as we, by the Grace of God are able to support ourselves.

When English missionaries came to India, they had to learn our regional languages, translate the Bible and overcome so many other hurdles to start their work. But the strengths of most Malayalees in this country are that we are able to speak English and we are not bad with our scriptural knowledge. When the English missionaries came to India, their vision was not to start English speakers’ churches in India, but was to preach to the Indians, win the Indian souls and plant churches for the Indians. Otherwise we are better resourced to be missionaries in England than the English missionaries who came to India several years ago. But one thing we lack is the vision to merge with the English believers and tender our help to their spiritual needs.

Although many of us remain ‘holy’ by keeping some distance from the English churches, at least some of us are successful in presenting our needs to them and accepting financial aid. When we claim to be spiritually superior and remain ‘separated’ from them, we are becoming ‘spiritual racists’. We conveniently forget the fact that we have been called to proclaim the gospel in and to this land. Our spiritual standard can be easily measured by our success in implementing Kerala church politics in England and the rate at which we get ourselves divided.

I only see with fear and trembling, the desire of the IPC leaders to get the Malayalam churches in England affiliated to IPC. I hope that the IPC leaders and IPC supporters will understand that many believers of other Pentecostals denominations will not be very comfortable to come under the banner of IPC. Such believers will be tempted to make their own little groups. I will rather encourage the Malayalam churches to remain affiliated to their nearest local English Pentecostal churches and support them and receive support (not financial) whenever and wherever necessary. The English missionaries contributed a lot to the Indians in the past and it is time for us to do something in return.

It is not true if we think that Church of God in India and Assembly of God are not keen on or interested in bringing churches under their leadership. I personally know that just like IPC, both these churches are interested in adding more churches to them. It is true that the English churches are not giving administrative support to Indian churches. The simple reason is that we don’t ask them or allow them to do it. It is not true that the financial and spiritual problems in Indian churches are not resolved because the English churches are not taking interest in us. Many of us think that we are ‘spiritually superior’ to them. Also I do not understand why our churches have financial problems. Most of our pastors are part time employed and they do not take money from the church fund. Do you think that if the churches come under IPC, the financial and spiritual problems will be solved?

Division, unforgiveness, misunderstanding, gossips, destructive criticisms, lack of humility or pride, unwillingness to accept one another, lust for leadership, lust for church money etc. etc. are the problems many Indian churches in England are currently facing. Don’t we have enough trouble already? We are already divided into AICC, MPA etc. etc. etc. Can IPC, Church of God, Assembly of God or any other established Pentecostal Indian church organisations solve these problems? Will IPC unite these groups or divide further?

A. Thomas

Dear Editor

I have read about the protest campaign against the religious persecution and arrests in the capital city of India. I seriously doubt that this kind of campaign and rally would only increase the problems in India. All these years we had a reputation of not reacting negatively to persecution. I feel that this rally will increase the hatred towards Christians. Persecution is not something new in Christianity. What was the attitude and approach of Paul, Silas, Peter, John, Stephen etc. when they were persecuted? I think we Christians should rethink about adopting political strategies to protect us. Please read Ephesians 6:12. Let the Lord give us wisdom.

Thanks

A. Thomas

Dear Editor,

In your last Journal about thoughts in Easter, says that Christ crucified on Friday, According to bible it does have any evidence. Bible says Christ will be in the heart of earth for 3 days and 3 nights. How it is possible if Christ buried on Friday evening and he arise before Sunday sunrise.  God word says very clearly Christ will be in the heart of earth for 3 days & 3 nights. According to me Christ crucified on Wednesday, buried in same evening and he rose just after the Saturday sun sets. According to bible first hour of twenty-four starts at evening and ends at next sun set.

Dear Brother

My Message - I read the feature " Nuna Paadunnavar". It was really
wonderful and encouraging to think before singing the song. One more thing
I wanted to suggest. If you can write something about that, I hope that
will be very helpful and our Heavenly Father will be pleased.
In English Bible it is written as "He" for God.
When they translate that into Malayalam they wrote as "Avan".
If your son or your younger brother tells about you "Avan" what you
will feel?? Or you will call your father as "Nee". Just think about that.
In case if we call our servent ( who is working in our paddy field), what
will be their reaction? Every time when we r reading Bible or singing good
songs and praises we r still calling our Heavenly father as "NEE". Dear
Brother, please write against this.

My Message -

Dear Brother

Loving Greetings.

Recently only I knew about GM news and praise God for such a venture. I
read almost all articles and news  and listened the sermons of  Kumbanad
Convention these days.

Bro. Sabu Samuel's articles are wonderful and thought provoking as his
articles in Messenger were. I wish he will write such articles in future.
We need a revival and I hope your net will be a catalytic agent for the
same. We forgot holiness and true gospel in our messages. We care more for
quantity and not for quality .Let your Net will bring us back to the old
good days of Pentecostal revival in Kerala,

May God bless your ministry

Yours in His Mission

Praise the Lord.

Dear brother,

Daily I used to read this global messenger. It is a great asset for us specially those who are away from their native places. I used to print out most of the articles and distribute it among our friends .But one problem I noticed that the print which we take directly from the computer is missing its last 2-3 words. If you can adjust that it will be a great help for us. No time to read sometimes, so we used to take print outs. It is just a suggestion. Non-office workers are not having computers and it is useful for them when we take printout and give it to them. I do appreciate your help.

Once again I thank for this global messenger team. It is a great pleasure to read.

With regards

Philo Jose
